1. Initial
start will begin at designated point in turn 4. Lead cars will
have two (2) tries to begin the race. After the second try if
the race is not started, lead cars will be inverted with the
second row cars. Any car that brings out the yellow flag on
the first lap will go to the back of the pack.
2. Jumping
is not allowed. First offense for Jumping - you will get a warning.
Second offense - you will go to the back of the pack. Jumping
on restarts - you will be moved to the rear.
3. Any
car entering the pit or leaving the track under the yellow or
red flag will be put in the rear.
4. All
cars must take original green flag start to receive any winnings
in that race.
5. Any
car causing a yellow or red flag incident will restart in the
rear of the line-up.
6. All
restart line-ups will go back to the last completed green flag
lap.
7. Any
car bringing out three (3) cautions in one race will be black
flagged to the pits for the remainder of that race.
8. No
one is allowed on the track except track officials. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Anyone caught on the track could result in removal from the
pit area.
9. No
working on cars on the track, unless done by track official.
10. Official
line-up will be posted in the pits. After entering the track,
cars will be given one (1) lap in their proper start position.
11. The
track officials will rule upon any incident or occurrence not
covered by these rules.
12. There
is a 30-minute time limit on all features and B-Main's. Clock
stops on any red flag.
13. Anyone
bringing out an intentional yellow flag will be sent to the
pits.
14. Two
(2) courtesy laps will be given for a flat on the first lap
of feature race only.
15. Car
numbers must be at least 18 inches tall and easily seen from
the judge's booth on both sides and roof of car.
16. The
top 3 cars in any class must go to the Tech area immediately
after feature race.
17. Courtesy
Rule: Any car from another track with minor rule differences
may at Management’s discretion, race on that night but
will be notified of any modifications and will have to be legal
on the next visit to the track.
18. Anyone
changing drivers or cars from Heat race to Feature must start
at the rear of the field. If changing drivers or cars, you must
notify track official or you will be disqualified. Any Driver
changing cars must use a car in that class.
19. Any disorderly conduct from
driver or crew member toward any driver or track official will
be disqualified for the remainder of that race
1. Red
Flag means all cars must stop immediately. All cars go to the
top of the track and stop immediately.
2. Green
Flag and lights mean racing.
3. Black
Flag means unsafe car conditions, (flats, excessive smoking,
loose car parts, etc.) Cars will be warned with the black in
case of minor incidents. Rough driving will result sin immediate
removal from the track for the remainder of that race. Anyone
refusing to leave the track when black flagged will results
in suspension of two (2) race nights.
4. Blue-Yellow
Flag means that you must move to the outside allowing faster
cars to pass. Anyone not abiding by this flag will be subject
to the black flag.
5. Yellow
Flag means caution, slow down immediately and maintain position.
6. White
Flag means that there is one lap remaining in that race. No
yellow or red flag will be thrown at this point unless a hazardous
condition exists.
7. The
flagman and/or the track officials will make all flag decisions.
The
track reserves the right to inspect any car at any time. This
includes use of P & G gauge.
Visual
protest must be made within 5 minutes before the feature race.
Any
protest must be made within 5 minutes after the feature race
is completed. The end of protest time will be announced.
Only
the top ten (10) cars can protest in any feature race. The protest
must be made by the owner or driver of the car in cash. Forward
protest only.
Any
car that is protested will be torn down in a designated area.
There will be a 2 hr. limit on tear downs.
Track
will keep $25.00 from top half protest and $50.00 from any complete
protest regardless whether the car is legal or illegal.
If
a driver refuses to tear down or is found illegal, he will lose
his winnings, trophy, and points for that night and will be
fined $200.00 or suspended for two (2) weeks. Money will be
placed in the points fund.
If
a driver refuses to tear down or is found illegal a second time,
he will lose his winnings and trophy for that night and his
points for the year. Also, he will be fined $400.00 or suspended
for 4 weeks or moved up to the next class.
Maximum number of cars that can be protested in one class is three (3).
Protest
Fees:
Clutch: $150.00 (Clutch Protest in Street Class Only)
Top Half: $250.00
Complete: $450 (plus $150.00 for the crank)
Protest
Definitions:
Clutch: You must remove for inspection; clutch, pressure
plate and flywheel.
Top Half: You must remove for inspection; carburetor,
distributor, intake manifold, 1 cyl. head (protester choice)
rocker arms, push rods, lifter, 1 exhaust valve, 1 intake valve.
Bore, stroke, and piston will be checked also.
Complete: Clutch and top half will be included plus removal
of 1 piston and rod. Crank shaft will be checked also.
1. There
will be no drinking of alcoholic beverages or use of any controlled
substances in the pit area before, during, or after the race
program. Anyone deemed under the influence of alcohol or a controlled
substance, or having either in their possession will be immediately
suspended. In the event of a violation of a controlled substance,
the proper authorities will be notified. Any vehicles, trailers,
or coolers are subject to be searched before entering the pits.
2. Drivers
are responsible for their crew.
3. All
drivers in all classes must wear a full fire suit and a full
crash helmet.
4. All
cars must have a window net and at least three (3) bars or mesh
wire in front of the driver.
5. All
drivers must wear 4 points 3 inch, quick release safety harness
securely mounted to the roll cage. Seat belts must be within
2 years of the manufactured date. Racing seat is required.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
6. Speed
limit anywhere in the pits is idle speed only!
7. No
one is allowed to argue or discuss any item with track officials
while a race is in progress.
8. Abusive or improper language
by anyone will not be tolerated at Clayhill Motor Sports. Any
type of physical assault towards anyone may result in fines
or barring from the speedway.
9. All bolt on weight must have two (2) bolts and mounted properly.
1. All
cars must use 2 barrel stock carburetors no more than 500
CFM max 1 11/16 throttle bore maximum. Holly OK.
2. No
aluminum heads, or blocks, or exotic material.
3. Any
intake

set back. No. 1 spark plug hole can be no farther back than
center of ball joint.
BODY
1. Any
American coupe, sedan with stock production frame minimum
101" wheelbase. Wheel base must remain stock according
to year model.
2. All
bodies must be stock appearing, no wedge bodies.

fire wall or same thickness, stock floor pan or same thickness
must extend to front of rear end yoke.
4. Front
and rear bumpers in stock position required.
5. Cars
must have a MINIMUM 6 point roll cage. 1 1/2 inch minimum
diameter pipe, securely welded to frame. Three driver's
side door bars REQUIRED. No black or galvanized pipe allowed.
6. FUEL
CELL IS MANDATORY. No boat tanks or homemade gas containers
allowed. Fuel cell must be contained in reinforced steel
container and must be securely mounted.
7. Battery
may be relocated but not in driver's compartment and must
be securely mounted.
8. After
market pedals will be allowed.
9. Rubber
or plastic nose allowed.
10. Front
and rear end enclosed except where lights go.
11. All
cars must weigh in after each heat race and feature race.

3. A stock appearing Monte Carlo, Mustang, Grand Prix, Taurus, etc. style nose is required.
FRAME
1. No rear push-bars to extend beyond 6” (six inches) of rear quarter panel.
ENGINE
1. All headers must be pointed away from ground, horizontal and preferably outside of car. Tri-Y headers are not allowed
2. GM Performance Parts 602 crate engine (Part #88958602) and the GM Performance Parts 604 crate engine (Part # 88958604) are the only two engines allowed. All engines are sealed from the factory and such seals may not be removed, touched, modified or broken.
3. All Engines and all components there of must be in original form as delivered from the factory. Any changes to the factory sealed delivered configuration and assembly will result in disqualification and no points awarded. No upgrades are allowed to any engine.
4. Any part of a sealing bolt that has been tampered with and or removed will result in a $1000 fine, loss of points for the year, loss of winnings for the night.
This is considered to be a serious offense and will be treated as such.
5. Any participant (driver, car owner, engine builder) caught with illegal parts within the sealing bolts on the engine will lose all points accumulated for the season, forfeit all earnings,
6. NO CHANGES ARE ALLOWED TO THE ENGINE - INTAKE MANIFOLD, HEADS, VALVE COVERS, FRONT COVER, OIL PAN, HARMONIC BALANCER OR ANY OTHER PART / OR PARTS ON / OR IN ENGINE
ENGINE INSPECTION
1. For inspection purposes Clayhill Officials may exchange or confiscate a crate engine at any time to ensure its legality. Failure to surrender the engine equals disqualification from the event and an automatic suspension with duration to be determined.
2. The engine retained or exchanged will retain components as the engine is received from Factory. Not included; carburetor, water pump, ignition (msd) box, flywheel.
FUEL SYSTEM
1. All cars must have fuel cells - 32 (thirty-two) gallons maximum capacity.
2. Fuel cell must be completely enclosed in 18-gauge steel container. No aluminum allowed.
3. Gasoline only - Pump gas is recommended
WEIGHT
All cars using the GM Performance Parts #602 engine must weigh 2250lbs. at all times.
All cars using the GM Performance Parts #604 engine must weigh 2400lbs. at all times.
CARBURETORS
1. Any 750 CFM Carburetor or smaller. Must have 1 11/16th base plate maximum. No exceptions. (Measured with go/no-go gauge)
2. 1” (one inch) Spacer maximum on Crate Engines. 1” is measured top to bottom of spacer including any gaskets that are between any parts of spacer on 2 piece spacers.
3. Please take time to check your plate. It is your responsibility to make sure its right. It is the Series responsibility to make sure its legal.
4. Spacer must not be more than 1” at any point. Not just around the edges
5. No spacer may protrude into intake.
6. One gasket allowed on top from carburetor to spacer. One gasket allowed from bottom of carb to intake.
7. Legal gaskets are standard gaskets only. (Completely up to the discretion of Official)
8. Two throttle springs strongly recommended!
9. Billet base plates may be used but cannot be taller than standard Holley base plate. (.570 maximum)
OIL PUMP
1. Wet sump only.
2. No external oil pumps period. Even if considered “wet”:
Clayhill reserves the right to change MSD boxes with any car at any time without notice.

DRIVE SHAFT
1. Two 1 1/2” (one and a half inch) 18-gauge steel drive shaft loops or sling is mandatory.
2. Steel, aluminum or carbon fiber drive shafts are permitted. Drivers are encouraged to perform systematic checks on their drive train to help reduce maintenance-related driveshaft problems.
TIRES
1. Any compound on Front, Rear Tires must durometer 50 after the race.
2. Mud plugs should be foam or bolted securely behind bead lock to the wheel.
3. Steel and aluminum wheels are permitted and must be mounted with lug nuts. Center lock wheels, carbon fiber wheels or plastic wheels are not permitted.
4. All wheels must fit template with 14” (fourteen inches) maximum width.
SHOCKS
1. Canister shocks are allowed
PROTEST
1. Top five cars can protest forward only.
2. Protest Fee will be $1,000.00
Track will swap the motors with the car that is being protested. Track will send the motor to a certified GM engine builder. The car being protested can run the track motor until their motor is returned. Motors will be swapped at Clayhill Motor Sports track. If the motor being protested is legal, the driver will receive his winnings and points, and $500.00 for the protest. If the motor is illegal, the driver will loses all winnings for the night and all points for the year. The driver will also be fined $1,000.00. Fine must be paid before racing at Clayhill Motor Sports, Inc. again, The motor will be returned unassembled. The money will be helded from the winner only on the night of the protest. If the car being protested is illegal the class will be paid the difference in places the following week, and protester will be refunded their $1,000.00. The other $500.00 will be for the reassembly and sealing. Does not include any additional needed parts caused by wear and tear. An participant refusing to swap motors will be disqualified.
All
cars will be required to pack the track. When an official
calls your class, this is the time to enter the track
surface. Packing will continue until the track is ready.
All classes may not be called to pack due to track conditions.
However, failure to comply with this request may results
in either loss of feature position or loss of points.
We
will make every effort to have the track ready to race
before you are asked to pack the track. Weather conditions
may dictate track packing time.
1. 4
cylinder front wheel drive; no turbo’s, no Honda
Corp powered.
2. Cars must have all exterior chrome, glass, and
mirrors removed.
3. Must have 4 point roll cage.
4. Must have racing seat belt; racing seat recommended.

13. Master disconnect (kill switch) on battery ground
must be within easy reach of driver.
14. Fire extinguisher required. Securely mounted and
within easy reach of driver.
15. Wings and spoilers are allowed.
16. Races will start from a rolling start out of turn
four.
17. Top three finishers in the feature race must come
through tech area.
18. All cars subject to track officials approval.
19. All sun roofs must be filled in.
20. Drivers in these classes can not drive in any other class.
